Laws have been created throughout history in response to social issues. Because of the corollary relationship between law and society, it is possible to understand what the major issues of any period of time were by studying the laws that were created.
One day historians will look at the laws of our time to appreciate what was meaningful and sometimes controversial to us. We’ve seen a lot of social progress in a relatively short time. The new ways of viewing the world has shaped our law-making.
